My own version of this is that I was just in Washington County, Maine, a solidly purple county, and saw only a single Trump sign when in previous years I’ve seen multiple (even in non-election years).

Driving to and from my favorite camping and swimming spots in Southern Washington this summer, we noticed SO MANY missing signs. One "famous" house had only one American flag and a washed out "trump Pence" flag left. No more MAGA and whatever flags.

There's a house here that overlooks one of the busiest streets in the city. For years they've flown trump flags on 4 huge flagpoles mounted in clear view of the road, plus a huge fjb banner on their fence. The banner is gone and the flags have been replaced with blue lives matter and whatnot

Last weekend, my teenage son started bitching about Trump in front his friend, whose family are big Trump fans and only watch Fox News. My son stopped & said "Sorry, I know you like Trump." His friend said "Not anymore, he's gone too far" Apparently, the kid’s mother has really soured on Trump!!!

Speaking as a resident of Somerset County, Maine, I’m surprised you didn’t see more MAGA signs/associated symbols. Maine is purple, but Washington County is solidly red. So, your “finding” might be more significant. There remains a modest amount of MAGA signs in Waldo and Somerset Counties.

I was just in Maine- driving through MA, NH. Over the past decade there have been many Trump signs along the way. This year I saw 3 the whole way.

I’m in very red Tennessee in a rural county to the west of Nashville and the signs are all gone except at one house. The signs that are up are for one of the Dem candidates for the special election House seat. To put this in context, my house was the only house with a Biden sign back for 2020.

Areas I frequently drive through in rural NorCal used to display a lot more Trump flags, but I've seen barely any for years now. Most of them came down in 2020 and never went back up. A few went up in 2024 but down again.
