They did this to preemptively stop riots. But the riots never really broke out. The Latino community never fought back in a way that required the national guard. It's been months and only cost the city 30m. Comparatively the George Floyd riots caused 40m the first two weeks. A huge difference.

As a former Active Duty Marine Corps Infantryman and Desert Storm Veteran. That wasn’t a deployment on home soil. It was an absolute abomination against our own citizens and country for political theater. This administration is despicable and deplorable beyond the pale.
