Sweden, Lithuania, and Sweden all reiterate their support for Ukraine. It would be nice to see the same from the UK and France in this moment.

How about we start sending troops to really support Ukraine? Air support, etc. etc.

Oh for sure, I think so, too. It’s just that the outgoing minister doesn’t speak for the incoming administration (even if we can *assume* a very similar stance) - meaning her words don’t carry quite as much weight and commitment as others in this thread.

What I mean: same statement from e.g. F. Merz would, at this point in time, probably be even more reassuring.

Macron..

French president Emmanuel Macron. Here is a longer quote from his comments in Portugal: Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine is the aggressed people. I think we were all right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago, and to continue to do so. We, that is the United States of America, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese and many others. And we must thank all those who have helped and respect those who have been fighting since the beginning. Because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, their children and the security of Europe. These are simple things, but they’re good to remember at times like these, that’s all.

RT with Altext #Sweden, #Lithuania, and #Sweden all reiterate their support for Ukraine. It would be nice to see the same from the #UK and #France in this moment.

The Norwegian prime minister Jonas Gahr Store is the latest European leader to offer his support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine as he says this: • We stand by Ukraine in their fair struggle for a just and lasting peace. The Swedish prime minister Ulf Kristersson said: # Sweden stands with Ukraine. You are not only fighting for your freedom but also for all of Europe's. Slava Ukraini! The Lithuanian president Gitanas Nauséda has also joined in: • Ukraine, you'll never walk alone. ... and the Irish foreign minister Simon Harris: 1 Ukraine is not to blame for this war brought about by Russia's illegal invasion. We stand with Ukraine.
