my ideal scenario is he is helping batman investigate something that happened at wayne enterprises, and bruce thinks he is doing a good job juggling his identities, but at the end after they solve the crime columbo hands batman a pen he borrowed from wayne and says “sorry slipped my mind” and winks.

I need a scene where Alfred asks if the "gentleman wishes to have some [insert fancy meal] for dinner", but Columbo just wants chili with ketchup and iced tea. And later he asks Alfred to look after Dog while they are out investigating, but Dog is just lying there anyway, totally unbothered.

omg, i now need the “Alfred dogsits for Columbo” sub plot even more than I need the Columbo/Batman main story 🥹
