I agree. If Schumer were smart he would be courting her to join the Democratic caucus. Of course she would lose her chairmanship of her committee but it could be worthwhile since Indian Affairs is not the most premier committee.

Once one non-maga republican paves the way, it will be easier for the rest of them. We are going to have to build the bridge for them, though. If Schumer isn’t, someone else just needs to do his job until he’s out.

There's not really anything tangible Democrats have to offer her unless they are close to flipping the chamber and gaining a majority -- as they did with flipping Jeffords in 2001.
