The Senate will vote all day today, section by section through the whole megabill. Any R senator could extract concessions in any of these votes. The bill will eventually go back to the House, but at that point margins are wider and R representatives less influential individually. Today's the day.

I plan to talk to my R senators' offices about money. Rs go on and on about debt and fiscal responsibility. This bill would add some $3 trillion of debt. An "R Manchin" could cut that back to < $1 trillion, and in the process avoid some 2/3 of the harm this awful bill will cause.

If you or a loved one need government help with health care, food, or utility bills, know that this bill will cut support for Medicare, food stamps, and the low-income utility bill program. Today's the day to tell R senators this is NOT OKAY.
