RIP
She was so great in that movie. Side nite, when I was in college I worked for Howard Johnsons hotel division. The horrible rape she endured happened at a HJ. After that, a long list of changes took place to remove the lapses in security of guest rooms. They were always discussed in reference to her.
RIP
That was the first song I played when I heard about her passing--such a gorgeous vocal.
She really was!
I might have heard a song before that but, you're right she was adorable.
Tribute show with some rarities by her: www.wfmu.org/flashplayer....
I liked that song she sang in that movie Dialected Lol
Only in Hollywood could they consider her character the ugly duckling. RIP
I used to get mixed up between Connie Francis and Connie Stevens. 🙄
To Elise...Connie Francis was adorable. I'm 85, so lots of good memories from a time when we were trying hard to be a country to be proud of. Now I cry every day. We must not give in to fascism.
Awww R.I.P. 💔😔
My sister asked asked me to go with her on the bus to Pittsburgh. We went to see the movie. Had lunch in Pittsburgh and took the bus back home. That was a big deal, but girls going to the city to see the movies. It was certainly a treat, and I did love to watch her. Connie Francis was very cool
She was great in it (the movie itself is not nearly the light-hearted romp I'd be led to believe it would be). Wish she'd had more film work.
I always warn people WHERE THE BOYS ARE is not a cutesy beach movie. My first lesson in Beware of Frat Boys.
Yuppers ❤️😍
She was pretty popular over here in the 60ies, also performing with the "German Elvis" Peter Kraus. Later on, you didn't hear much of her anymore.
Love that movie!
She was very talented. As a teen, I read a book she wrote that was helpful.
I was really surprised that none of the obits I read mentioned Where the Boys Are. That’s the first song I think of when I think of Connie Francis.
💔RIP
When I saw that first run, I called BS on the filmmakers putting glasses on one of the equally gorgeous young women and treating her as the ugly one.
That’s where I discovered her, too. Where the Boys are is one of my favorite movies. ❤️
MsFrancis was an era's touchstone & a hardcore 'Jersey' survivor. She fought thru surgery that broke her voice for years, near-death rape, heartbreak murders & sexist psych care but never gave up on herself or her music. I'm glad she got her musician's due before her final battle. Head held high CF
Yes!
I love that movie!
Ditto. We loved the movie.
Neil Sedaka did a tribute to Connie Francis yesterday on Instagram. It was wonderful.
She had a beautiful voice wasted on pop tunes.
That's some sexy swinging despite the full coverage dress. You go, girl!
“Lipstick on your collar”..my first 45
RIP Connie ♥️
A thousand years ago, Connie Francis hit on my dad and my mom smacked her. 🤣
Wow? That's quite the story!
I loved that movie! I memorized that song and used to sing it in my bedroom all the time! But, help me with some confusion. Is this different from Three Coins in the Fountain or am I mixing it up?
Deepest sympathies to her family & friends. Always loved her in all those old movies she was in.
She WAS adorable!
I have liked Connie since I first heard her in 1960. You’re right, she was adorable, and, I’m sure, many teenage boys were suffering unbelievable crushes!
Same! 💜
Underrated movie.
RIP I remember following her lawsuit against a hotel’s crappy security And she was assaulted sexually-R She stood up for all of us to ensure businesses and corporations keep us safe She took a stand that benefited all Thank you Miss Connie for your courage
Ah yes, the 22 inch waistline, aka the good old days.
She was amazing!
Loved her too!
