China is not interested in a military war or physical invasion of anyone. Their long game is planetary economic dominance, which is well underway.

I agree on the goal. And i hope you're right concerning the rest. But you don't build the greatest fleet on earth if you don't plan on using it. Especially the highly specialised landing crafts they developed. They're clear on Taiwan, just as clear as Taiwan is on its independence.

They currently have 8 of these if i remember correctly. Not enough yet but with Chinas unsurpassed shipbuilding capacities that ain't a problem.

It may be their plan, but they are susceptible to a lot of outside forces. Also, if anything happens in Europe or violence erupts in the US, guaranteed they’ll invade Taiwan under that cover.
