Except the psychological benefit will happen b/c people think if he goes, all this bad shit goes with him. It won't. Because he was never the problem. He's just the catalyst the billionaire class and uber Right needed to take over what was left of the bifurcated GOP after the Tea Party got funding.

So the benefit they feel will be short lived and people will be even more dejected and feel even more defeated. It will actually end up a negative effect that will fuel the "Democrats don't do anything" narrative.

I didn't say it was what you think. But it is really a lot more people than you think it is. Not having him around will be great, but it won't be the boon a lot of people think it is. And ofc they will blame Dems as usual. But *how* they do it is important, especially now.

Granted, this is a lot of speculation on both our part, but I've seen it happen over and over and over. I'm happy to be wrong. Time will tell.

Agreed. But I really do feel a lot of people are just waiting for him to pass away (this includes republicans) and he will be a martyr for only a small group of cultists.
