And therein lies the problem. Democrats eat their own. You expect them to fight and win with no money coming in while Republicans fall all over themselves to send money and vote while Democrat voters whine about not liking their choices. Give me a break.
When the leaders start endorsing the people we vote for (Mamdani) instead of hedging their bets, I’ll start supporting them. They are actively working AGAINST their base.
I’d say the base is actively working against them. “My candidate or else” seems to be the mantra of Democratic voters.
Do you work for the DNC or something? NYC Dems picked Mamdani in the Dem primary and the leaders won’t endorse him. That’s the leaders expressly ignoring the voters.
The definition of “the base” is who the party is representing. We don’t take marching orders from the party leaders.
Then you can’t complain if the rest of us don’t choose your candidate when you can’t be bothered to support ours. Yours isn’t the only voice in the Party.
