A big part of the problem here is there is no master architect for the right-wing plan. It’s just a bunch of people who all have different prime agendas sticking bills to sign in front of a man whose brain is swiss cheese, & whoever’s #1 agenda was “kill Medicaid” wanted it immediately & not later.
The only connecting thread is they want to destroy society and have daddy issues. The issue is that you can't destroy concepts and also you can't fix daddy issues by being evil so it makes sense they are all scrambling to get their pet issue over the finish line.
True and I’m sure they’re all getting pretty anxious about Big Daddy dropping dead; he could drag on for god knows how long, ofc, I don’t want to get my hopes up. But it could also happen tomorrow. Many probably reckoned they couldn’t risk waiting two years & just want to do it all at once.
