Synthwave as a genre has done a fantastic job of creating music that has that 80s sound. There's a bunch of related subgenres (like Outrun and Dreamwave) which I really enjoy as well.

A mascot who reigns over everything. She used to run a pub in London's East End which had a jukebox. It operated for years. She fled the pub (and at this point I'm no longer sure why) and set up a food truck that only serves drinks without a licence on the Southbank. She's pretty mean. 😁😸

It's actually The Damned, they released this in 1984 under the pseudo name of Naz Nomad and the Nightmares, most of the songs are covers of old garage and psychedelic bands from the 60's

I was introduced to them by a Japanese friend while I was working in Japan. I used to see this a lot on MTV Japan (when M stood for Music) Obviously a short-lived band, but was definitely fun while it lasted 😁

Monkees are wonderful - I think a lot of people just dismiss them as a 'manufactured' band but their music is really charming. I haven't heard this one before.
It still blows my mind that they were given songs that transcended their TV knock off Beatles show. Most producers would have settled with throw away songs.
I suppose the producers realised that to be a manufactured Beatles, they needed brilliant songs.
