"Labour needs to govern as a Labour government" I don't find this kind of language helpful. Labour can be multiple different things to different people, fundamentally they are a party by and for the working class and their new legislation Employment Rights Bill and Renters' Rights Bill reflect that.

Agree to an extent but their rhetoric on immigration and policing in general is horrible.

Understandable but Labour's stance on immigration has never been completely for or completely against. Post-war national need saw Labour become quite pro-migration while in the 60s Labour became quite anti-migration when they brought in the Commonwealth Immigrants Acts that restricted it.

They need to stand apart from the Tories and Reform on this. We are going to need immigration in the future. They want to build 1.5m houses, they are going to need builders, craftsman , doctors, nurses, GP’s etc etc

Essencially Labour has always had to play a balancing act that permits migration to help the economy but restricts it enough to quell any public concern.
