it's very obvious to everyone that there are big disagreements in the party, a huge separation between electeds and voters - especially from seniority/leadership - and these reactions feel less like 'i think everything's fine' and more 'i'm trying to MAKE everything fine'.
another case of politics via The Secret. that if you just pretend everybody's getting along fine, that if you just keep sayin all the obvious gaps, the cleaving, the obvious opposing interests in the party are fake and don't exist, then things WILL get along fine, and we'll win that way.

any form of visible conflict they rush to cram a helmet on top of, like they're trying to stop a grenade from going off. that if anybody sees these conflicts in the party, or between the voters and the electeds, then that will make those conflicts even MORE real than they already are, and explode
but all this does is make everybody else confused and put off, and that includes plenty of normie libs right now. it doesn't look like a winning strategy, it looks like just a flat denial of reality, pretending conflicts in the party just don't exist, because to acknowledge them would suck.
so much of the story in politics with dems for years, in the electeds and in pundits and voters who make excuses and rationalizations for all of them, has been a parade of "if we pretend the problem doesn't exist, then it won't exist" and hoping that'd just make conflicts, protests, and more go away
it won't work, it doesn't work, and that it very obviously doesn't work... just makes them more manic and angry and in denial. lmao.
"politico sucks!" they say and yeah politico sucks but they don't suck so bad that it warps reality and alters the timestream and makes it so the party, especially leadership/seniority, have actually been very supportive of the left flank in the party instead of trying to crush them under their heel
