I find it a tragic double-standard of politics and a good example of the fact that some people don't believe in anything other than supporting whatever party they are a part of when it is in power, and opposing the one they are not a part of, no matter the beliefs or actions of the party. Campism.
A part of the reason we fell to authoritarianism is because too many Democrats have the same exact beliefs and policies of Republicans, and you can't fight a party that you share the same beliefs, platform, and policies of, you'll just end up helping your opponent every step of the way in the end.
