the saying goes is it's a big club, and you're ain't in it, and that is true. but there is a club within that club of people in their 70s, 80s, who see no reason why they should have to share anything or plan beyond themselves even for selfish reasons. even ghoulish asskissers get nothing from them.
there are even boomer dems in the house who can tell them "please, i wanna bomb iran and give the cops a trillion dollars, i think israel should get to do whatever it wants, i want crypto to be unregulated, can i please just get a leg up in the ladder" and leadership will still go "not your turn".
