i like how the basis for the vanilla/vector ship in sonic is pretty much just "both of these fuckers are tall as hell", having almost nothing else in common

idk man maybe vector's just into milfs, you don't know
Knowing full well I'm being far too serious here: It kills me people ship them for "both of them are tall" when the thing that's hot about Vanilla is that she's way taller than most suitors.
Vanilla hires them several times in Sonic X and they establish his crush on her there as well. SEGA has also kind of expanded upon it that because Vector is good with kids and Cream likes the Chaotix that Vanilla finds him charming
just mentally slotting vanilla as paula abdul and vector as mc skat kat www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwei...
funniest thing about 'Opposites Attract' is you'd naturally think it was inspired primarily by Who Framed Roger Rabbit. no. its inspiration draws mostly from 1945 film Anchors Aweigh featuring Gene Kelly and a segment where he dances with Jerry Mouse www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHCs...
and he did the same thing with Stewie Griffin
seth mcfarlane goes fucking apeshit for oldass musicals nobody else has ever watched. it is easily his favorite thing
the full shipoopi number is an all-timer
I have had this thing scratching at the back of my mind for so long it's honestly delightful, the animation for Jerry is kind of incredible especially for the time, I'm not even sure if I can think of animation over live-action from the era that is even all that close
also when Jerry started speaking I had a tiny version of the nostalgia critic in my brain having an aneurism over talking Tom & Jerry in the 90's feature
