Thank you. I am fucking sick of people complaining about veterinary care costing a lot of money. Yes. Yes it does. Because the training/equipment/medications/office overhead are all the same as for human medical care. Note: I exclude corporate vet practices from this rant; they suck.
You’re right, it’s super expensive to run a practice. Be prepared for disappointment, though, because the brick-and-mortar clinics will conglomerate out of necessity. (Mobile/rural large animal DMVs will likely remain independent.)
I live in NYC and have had multiple animals forever, so yeah, I know. For emergency care there's nothing *but* corp practices.
What is your point here?
