I've learned that if people have never had a teenage boy they really have no clue how much they eat!

I’m the eldest of three brothers, the youngest being five years my junior. I remember my mom dropping like $300 on groceries regularly when we were in high school in the mid aughts. I’ve been having to help her get groceries recently and she spends over $200 on HERSELF, and the cart is barely full
And then they invite a friend...
I never really thought about it much, but it may be due to how active boys typically are, and to the muscle development typical to males.
Girls experience an increase in appetite too. However, society shames girls from a young age about their weight, so some refrain from eating even though they’re hungry.
Excellent point! Thank you!
Teen girls too! I was a teenage girl once, and I had a mighty appetite! In a just society, families would be able to feed their children, as well as their voracious teens. So many people are struggling to get by.
I have an 11-year old who hit an early growth spurt. He’s taller than my wife. She grew up with a sister. She’s constantly asking me if the amount he’s consuming is normal. I don’t know how to tell her any better than I’m telling her.
They will eat through anything in the house. It’s amazing the calories!!!!
My brother used to eat a loaf of bread after dinner as a skinny 6 ft 2 teen! They’re goats basically. 🐐
No joke. And don't get me wrong, teen girls can throw down on some chow as well, but boys are like bottomless pits lol
My sister had three and was using two carts in the grocery store when someone asked her if she was running a group home! 😂
