New York, New York! Always great to spend time in the Big Apple. Arrived on Friday morning for a long weekend. Weather is perfect and expected to be all weekend! First stop, the MET museum to see the Superfine exhibit. Amazing. Wonderful soundtrack use of “Going Home” by Alice Coltrane, too. ❤️🎶🙏🏾

It was cool seeing a framed copy of the “The Black Male” cover of Ebony magazine from August 1972 at the Superfine exhibition at the Met Museum in NYC. I was born that month. ❤️💚🖤
I also checked out the wonderful Lorna Simpson Source Notes photography exhibition at the Met museum in NYC after seeing the Superfine exhibit there yesterday. Amazing Black Art. ❤️🙏🏾
After the Met museum, I checked out the Museum of Broadway in NYC. I love Broadway and I love museums (I am a member of the board of trustees of @americanwritersmuseum.org), so I knew I would love this museum and I did! ❤️🎶🙏🏾🎭
Speaking of Broadway, after visiting the Museum of Broadway, it was time to go see “Purpose.” But first, a light snack at Sardi’s.
“Purpose” on Broadway was magnificent. So very glad I got to see it before it closes August 31!
