Its global oligarchy digging in for for a final time before the planet is killed by their greed. End times are for peons not kings. That New World Order thingy. Murdoch begat Musk and fucking brainwashed half the populations of every democracy with free speech. Both should be twisting in the wind.
Project 2025 is not a localised phenomenon.
Exactly
It's miserable to think Reform types are looking at USA right now and thinking "let's be having some of that" 🙁
Their councils are already dishing up some of it. It's all negative and backwards, nothing progressive or positive in the slightest.
I've literally had people tell me (unprompted) how much they like what the US is doing. When I bother to probe it becomes apparent they're severely underinformed and what they like is the idea, but not reality. Irony points to the one who said they've always wanted to visit but not right now 🫠
Almost everybody I know is ill informed. I honestly believe most people aren't interested as life is stressful, they're busy etc etc. The far right exploits this
I was one of those people. Until I was 50, I actively avoided politics and political news. That changed pre-ref and oh boy was I uninformed. Still learning…
Same. I have a friend who's reasonably informed, intelligent but doesn't want to know the grotesque details & I don't blame her. She uses her vote & would never be swayed by populism.
It doesn't take much, and to some extent I blame journalists. I understand we are in a clickbait world, but it's negligent when they do huge articles about Farage and fail to mention he's following the MAGA playbook and how that's going. But that guy was informed enough not to want to go tour, so🤷🏻♀️
They have been for years, www.theguardian.com/politics/201...
It speaks volumes that this lot can't wait for a platform abroad from which to express their hatred of the UK and its institutions. Truss and Farage are traitorous and dangerous. Both would happily hand this country over to foreign wealth in an instant and destroy democracy to do so. No question.
And the client journalists who promote Farage et al. The Spectator events that Nick Robinson and others attend to receive orders. Rayner attack lines are clearly prepared, change a word here or there but the talking points are the same.
Their nadir, ignominious swan songs to politics! grass has to be a different colour on the other side of pond!? But there, they’re not even given a glance! Even Farage, who has not been given even a plus-one entrance to Trump’s events. So he’s had to resort to language like, “I’m sure Trump would…”
