I hadn't thought about it for many, many years, but today I remembered that during the Labor Day Weekend. It was an annual tradition to watch during some parts of the weekend.

I remember waiting every labor day eve Sunday night for the news to end and the telethon to begin already in progress from Las Vegas!! it was the one night of the year in addition to Christmas that my mom would let me stay up all night

When we were kids, we were allowed to stay up all night to watch because Dad called and made our donation. It was sort of a tradition, chili dogs, popcorn, chips, pop and sleeping bags in front of the tv.

Oh, I remember it too. I even participated in one or two Walk-A-Thon's as a kid. Mostly to try and meet girls.
