AI is bulk scraping the entire internet. Adding alt text is not significantly doing any more for that and putting snarky notes instead of actual alt is a big fuck you to VI folks.

I know, and I admit I'm guilty of forgetting alt-text myself. 😟 Sometimes I do remember, but I forget far too often.
