Christ this makes me affraid of what the life expectancy rates for Gen Z and Alpha are. Also it seems like a lot of Boomers are rapidly dying of cancer lately.

And? The youngest Boomers are in their early 60s
Having worked in Oncology - yes. It's also, unsurprisingly, being passed to their children as well, and to the next. It's the expected outcome now for most people, just depends if it ends up being benign or malignant. Seen patients as young as under 5 years old.
In 50 years there will only be ancient Gen X people remaining, wandering the earth sarcastically.
wait, who?
It's crazy how Gen Xers seem to be the only generation doing okay right now in terms of health problems.
If this is the result of 30 years of social decline, that's more-or-less what you'd expect to see. Gen-X grew up riding the coattails of the Great Society. All but the youngest established their careers and families in a country that still hadn't fully committed to asset-stripping itself.
Not me! I’m 52 with breast cancer. Other friends have also had breast cancer
It’s because we grew up on Boone‘s Farm and Marlborough cigarettes. 😆
They seem to me like the Boomer Lite generation.
Not giving a fuck adds decades to your life!
Or it's the lead
If you study history, the Gen X generation was steeped in a fitness craze and medical advice from national medical bodies was sane. Millennials appear to have been more sedentary than their parents, so is Gen Z, mostly.
I don't think Gen Xers are doing OK in terms of health really though. They are just being ignored, as is tradition
We died inside in the early 90s
🛎️
All thar hose water coated their insides in a smooth plastic shell.
My wife and I lost two of our (Boomer) parents to cancer in the last year, and one more is in end-of-life hospice care for...cancer.
survival rates for the vast majority of cancers have all gone up boomers may have missed some diagnoses due to not getting appointments in time, bc of doctor shortages
Late diagnosis is part of what did my mom in, but for my in-laws it was an extremely rare, difficult to treat cancer (FIL), and the compounding effect of multiple cancers at once (MIL, and this is after surviving both thyroid and breast cancer earlier in life).
i’m so sorry. 💔
