Not anonymous at all. Nearly every one is named and further if you do the research you can trace early church history John the Apostle (d. ~100) ↓ Polycarp of Smyrna (c. 69–155) ↓ Irenaeus of Lyons (c. 130–202) ↓ Hippolytus of Rome (c. 170–235) ↓ Later Church Fathers

Wrong. The gospels are anonymous. They were given names by the early church fathers. Can you tell me who wrote the gospel of Mark?
