So easy to do with AI nowadays.
Big guy needs to denounce Israel's GENOCIDE on Palestine yesterday or forget 2028.
good map, lol. what's going on in Texas and now other states thinking about gerrymandering all their districts just prove how wrong John Roberts was when decided Supreme Court shouldn't oversee this and ensure fair elections with fair districting. wish he'd reconsider but im not holding my breath
SCOTUS is constitutionally incapable of admitting they’re wrong, even when they clearly are. Would undermine the sacred inviolability of the law, and call into question their ordained ability to divine it
bullocks. all it takes is someone to get another gerrymander case to SC and they can correct it then. laws change all the time. only question is do they have enough honor to do so. think we all know the answer to that. Robert's legacy is already dogshit second he let Trump do whatever he wanted. smh
Oh I agree, by “constitutionally incapable” I just meant they just would do anything to avoid admitting they were wrong because they think they’re infallible
You've read some Roberts opinions; you don't think he can find a way to reverse himself without admitting he's wrong? I think one of the wilder gun cases already suffered that fate, I forget
The court would strike down every democratic states attempt to do this yes. They would probably rule the blue state must district to favor republicans in fact.
Etch and sketch gerrymandering
The Niagara falls of Democracy to be located in Illinois
What's that
A picture of democracy
you love to see it. as picard would say: make it so
Looking like someone threw their controller at Illinois
Tears of Lincoln
In a purely democratic vote tally, nearly every state would end up being Blue. We can thank the Electoral College for minority rule.
We also can thank gerrymandering for the Republican majority in Congress.
Correct
Beautiful 🤩
Is this just population density radially out from the city? Seems like a good a plan as any.
is this real?
Not yet it isn't
the top isn't extending far enough east imo
Do it. Let future republicans cry about it and they can be the one’s fighting it.
Do it!
I approved of this message! unpaid for by the Dakyres wellness foundation
Mmmm... Baconmander!
Bro has the placebo effect about bacon. I bet he can smell it too. What a goof!
People hate it because it looks obviously unfair. I love it because it IS obviously unfair. Don't like it, Republicans? Agree to a federal ban on partisan gerrymandering.
We can't fight demons with mere stones, after all
I’d love democrats to initiate stuff instead of always just reacting to what the gop does. If we can gerrymander every blue state and pick up 100 seats nationwide, we can end the cruel nature of the GOP
Democrats constantly act like they have to make the case to the electorate. They need to act like the case has been made, won, and settled because it was.
And then force nonpartisan redistricting. (Let's face it, the Dems like gerrymandering too, when it benefits them.) There should be nonpartisan redistricting in all 50 states in the future.
Dem incumbents sure love it. It means they run in non-competitive seats. Its guaranteed job security.

Who picks the "nonpartisan" people?
If we actually want it to be nonpartisan, we can easily make it nonpartisan with shortest splitline districting or similar. rangevoting.org/SplitLR.html
Varies from state to state, but the idea is to get an impartial commission. Independent Redistricting Commissions | Campaign Legal Center share.google/T7P0uoNAQwg8...
Very hard to get an impartial commission due to the complete lack of impartial people. But making it illegal to do partisan gerrmanders would put a real limit on how hard they could stretch things in most cases.
My angle on this is that the people picking are, necessarily, partisan. Because it has to be government that does the picking. Your math suggestion is, imo, the best we can do.
One system used to select the membership of these commissions is to *randomly select from qualified candidates.* There's other ways, but a random selection might work.
Nothing can be perfect, but "good enough" nonpartisan redistricting would transform the USA.
@govpritzker.illinois.gov you can plausibly deny you saw this and still do it
LFG!!
Texas is already doing that. Look at Austin. And they are planning to make it worse.
Il-line-ois
Honestly? Hell yeah plz. I'd love to have a democrat district.
