I've used FSD a few times and it is ok. I usually don't bother. It did work well on city streets with stop lights and stop signs, but I chose not to use it on a left turn onto a busy street without stop signs.

I had a couple of days to try it and it was really pretty good—except for the one time it suddenly launched me into the oncoming lane of a backroad. There was no traffic, so no harm done, and when I repeated the same stretch of road it didn’t happen. But it certainly made me leery.

one must always be on guard with any of these self-driving programs. we won't be able to read the newspaper until all vehicles are operating under self-drive.
