Probably wouldn’t work to just show up like it’s a book club? Say, “hey, I read the King James Version, in spite of the mistranslation on ‘side,’ I figure as long as I know about it, I’m good. Can we talk the Lightbringer character arc. Then, at the end, ask what they’re reading next week?

You will NEVER get her to quit jackin' her jaws and pounding her bible. I shut mine up by telling her I was going to a church she HATED. She diminished her "church talk" greatly. Still brought the subject up occasionally but I started to just stare at her...no words...stare.
