The unanswered question is how far they will be able to garner the support of Trump's fans. It's not impossible they will convinced themselves that Vance and Thiel murdered Trump, and who knows where they will lead.

The more time goes on, the more apparatus of repression is in place. Tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of grunts for ICE. Normalisation of use of military and reserves in support of the regime. The longer this goes on, the harder and more dangerous it is to resist.
