Yes, but what’s it like in other countries? Do their citizens read the truthful/intellectual press (Guardian, Le Monde) or just THEIR equivalent of Fox News (Telegraph, C-news?) The dearth of serious journalism and serious readers is bad anywhere, but perhaps not uniquely American.

At least here in Germany there is so far no equivalent to Fox News, at least on TV.
