the administration and ICE will do whatever they can to cover up a "mistake." that includes deportation before a trial. even if gets to trial and he's found not guilty, they'll move to deport him immediately. i'd say another country needs to offer him and his family asylum.

If I were Obrego, I would petition for asylum in Canada. He has grounds based on the well publicized fact that continuing to reside in the US during the Trump Administration puts him at risk of false imprisonment, torture, severe mental/physical abuse, neglect, and even death.
