A lot happening here but I’m delighted to learn there’s a National Fireworks Association and that it has a president.
That seems pretty on the nose that America will have zero fireworks to celebrate its 250th anniversary.

At this point, who wants to celebrate the 4th of July? It's supposed to signify pride and joy in a DEMOCRATIC society that allows its citizens freedoms and possibilities... We are no longer that country... In order to get back to who we are... this regime will have to go!

It would be funny if this caused the least number of fires and injuries in decades because they weren't available.
Fireworks are nothing but polluting for pleasure. The injuries, the debris, along with noise & air pollution, there is really no benefit to them.
My pet hate is the noisy ones, and I've been to demonstrations with fabulous displays and rocket fireworks that didn't make the big bang that is sought after by so many.
My dogs are pretty happy about this

There's a period between mid-June and late August when our girl is terrified to go out for her nightly walk and anything that prices high school kids out of launching them is a huge plus in my book. Guessing that a 145% price increase would cut back on the purchases.
