I couldn't figure out how I was meant to react to it and I now realise its ok to see it from different ways. For me its a bit of everything these guys said.

Yeah I'm with you on that - it's got me thinking now that if this week's episode is getting such a mixed reaction, how is next week's gonna fare when this is one a lot of people have been dreading since that clip was released last year? 😅

I agree Aileen. I was trying to articulate my thoughts and then the Trekculture folk helped me understand why I wasnt liking it.

Ive asked this question of others. Would you have liked it more or disliked it less had we had more episodes a season. It seems for me at least Im more picky because we have so few episodes. I kinda give the older series bad episodes more of a free pass.

Absolutely! I feel I'm more critical because there's so few episodes in a season. The old shows kinda get a free pass on weak episodes cos they are few out of many.
