My balance is shot for life; I stagger and while i don’t REALLY need a stick, I use one in public to avoid people jumping to the wrong conclusion. Years ago, in town, my wife heard a woman say to her daughter “look out for that man , he’s drunk!” It was 10am and I was sober as a judge 😡
