Don't bet on it.
Don't bet on it.
I'm betting on psychology warfare.

My husband is a vet and he's disgusted with them
They have your back. How about you have theirs and fucking call your congressional representatives.
Shame on Trump. They are just tools and they have Trump’s back, not mine, as long as he’s president.
Unless they are following an unlawful orders, and are told to attack civilians, we can not consider them the enemy. Should we trust them absolutely not, at least not until the show us were the loyalty truly lies.
Let’s say I’m strolling around DuPont circle. I accidentally drop my emptybag of chips. A national guardsman comes toward me. I absolutely do not think of this person as someone who’s going to help me.
Do you think they are going to shot you for dropping an empty bag of chip?
I would certainly hope not. But some are carrying weapons and they're arresting people for minor non-violent actions, and some of them may not be as well-trained as others.
The military is not arresting anyone. ICE and Capitol police are doing that.
The problem here is the assumption that he would absolutely come towards you though… They do have to be there, but they can't be coerced into doing something illegal. So while we shouldn't trust them in the moment, we also shouldn't demonize them before they've done anything wrong…
Sean, you have too high regard for the military cops. *Some* of them might step down, say no, stand their ground, but judging from the last time the National Guard was deployed to a city where citizens were LAWFULLY protesting, we cannot count on that. (See BLM in Portland)
Well then you’re letting your fear get the better of you.
You have too much faith in cops, Blue.
We aren't talking about cops.
Really? By betraying their oath and carrying weapons against citizens in our nation's capital? 🤣🤣🤣 I don't want them anywhere near my back
When did they betray the oath?
You can Google it for yourself. I come from a long line of veterans and married one too. I do not debate when you come across as a jerky ask -hole
I asked you a simple question, how is that being a jerk?
I'm actually going to apologize for that. I thought they took the same oath, they don't. Sorry! You not jerk, I dummy ✌️
As distasteful as merely having weapons and being there is, it's not illegal, so it's not breaking their oath, and they can't decline to do it… What is illegal: threatening people, pointing them at people, shooting (at people or not,) ordering people to stop lawful activities, etc…
Yes. I was incorrect thinking they took the same oath as the military. It's just so reminiscent of Kent State
To be clear, it is explicitly legal for on duty military to open carry firearms in Washington DC, and that's why they are allowed to be there with them… Without that exception, it would only be legal for them to be there, but not have weapons.
