Not a "remote, undeveloped area." Lorain is just 25-30 minutes west of Cleveland. It is a densely populated seat of its namesake county. The area where they parked is an Industrial Park. The man likely lived nearby & troubled by undiagnosed mental health issues. spectrumnews1.com/oh/columbus/...

The man who did it, Michael Parker, a 28-year-old from Lorain, did have a previous interaction with the police. Back in 2022, he was involved in a car accident and was cited for driving left of center. The officer who gave him that citation? It was Phillip Wagner, the officer who was killed. The failure-to-stop charge from that incident was dismissed, but Parker was found guilty of the driving left of center violation in May 2023. It's really chilling how that one small thing from two years ago connects to this.
