That’s kind. If there is an Armageddon- I’m running to Costco for tons of rice, dried beans, water purifier straws and dog food bags. They will all keep for a year!

It may be “safe” for short term consumption, but cheap pet food uses animal byproducts and semi-spoiled meat or meat from sick animals which are not certified for human consumption. It is processed at high temperatures to kill bacteria and viruses, but may not be the best for health.
