That's not the border. That's an "immigration checkpoint" inside the US, where ICE thugs harass people, usually because they don't look white enough.

Just clarifying...I thought Border Patrol or whatever, could do that legally up to 100 miles from any country border. Confirmation anyone? It pisses me off even AT the border, btw. Ya wanna ask if I have flora or fauna invasive to our country? Go for it. Otherwise , FO.

Adam Ruins Everything had an episode where they summed this whole thing up. That's what I believe is true from that show. This includes all coastlines also. Even though they technically can, declaring some kind of CBP issue when you're not even near a dock is genuinely suspect.

I just drove to Canada on 6/1 and the CBP set up their own checkpoint with k9 guards within 1/2 mile from the actual Canadian checkpoint going up north from NY. Looking at the GPS, they were right before the actual border while the Customs/Douane was about 1000 miles past that.
