I went into a 7-11 and chocked on all 12oz candy prices. They were $5. Wtf?

I better get over my candy addiction and turn back to grapes and orange bell peppers!!!!
A jar of Dukes mayo is 7.99 at my local co-op grocery store! I went to reach for the jar yesterday and I saw the price and withdrew my hand. I’m not paying that much for a jar of mayonnaise! My grocery bills are much higher now that the 🍊💩 is in office. I expect it to worsen.
It will definitely worsen. The tariffs haven’t even fully hit yet. We are likely to go into recession and possibly depression if no one turns this ship around.
Coffee up $2.00 a pound!!
Yeah, I was shocked when I went to the store and saw how expensive coffee is now.
Tariffs on Brazil and Columbia that’s the reason
And climate change... they warned us a few years ago. Here's a recent article...
A dozen of eggs went from 3.99 last week to 4.99 this week.
Add $4.00 to each of those items and you have California prices. Fish and Chicken even higher. 3 years ago my daily food budget was $4.00 a day. Now it's $10.00 a day. I've had to start going to the Food Bank. I'm a proud person. It's humiliating.
😱
Beef is not the best example since so many already couldn’t afford it. Chicken, hot dogs, tuna, rice and pasta would be telling.
Wish I would have taken pics at Costco of the bacon, coffee and paper goods over the last two months. Some of the frozen foods as well. This before the tariffs haven’t even fully really taken off. If you haven’t felt it yet you’re very fortunate.
I live on an island. Most places in the states haven’t even gotten up to our regular prices pre-Trump. Soon prices here will be insane.
Hang in there. I swear, I think he’s doing this shit on purpose. If his replacement posts fake numbers just to make him look good we will spin into hyperinflation like they did in some other authoritarian countries that did that same thing. Scary. 😨
Still trying to figure is he putting walls up or taking them down 🤦🏼 spinning so much don’t know when to step in 🤔 can’t imagine what foreign diplomats think.
Often with egomaniac world leaders there is a well concealed but fatal flaw. TRUMP places his many flaws on full display and demands our acceptance. Like I say... FATAL!
I’ll say this again LOUDLY for the fucking MAGA morons in the back who still believe his lies and BS: HE DOES NOT GIVE ONE SINGLE SOLITARY FUCK ABOUT ANYONE BUT HIMSELF PERIOD!!!
Remember, he doesn’t really know what groceries are.
It made me lol when I heard the idiot call groceries an “old fashioned term”. WTF, he’s so out of touch with real people!
Right? Not a clue about how the average person lives. He’s pathetic and it’s his loss.
Tariffs and price gouging are out of control.
Pretty sure the BBB did some side deals to get folks to sign. exploringanimals.com/u-s-states-t...
Everything's going up. I took a little trip last week and now I'm staying my butt ta home for the duration. Spending nothing that isn't necessary and all off-brands in my local stores.
Since the first of the year I've been making my own dog food and my own laundry soap. Venturing further into yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream and maybe cottage cheese. I'd make my own butter but I've got a bunch of it stored in the freezer. It's paid for a brake job and a new AC thermostat.
Wow, that's great. I live alone so my needs are simple. I have been making my own laundry soap and I gotta say I love it. I've also switched out coffee for hot tea. It's cheaper, easier on my stomach and less caffeine?
I stocked my pantry a few months back and have freezers in my garage. I’m solar powered so there’s no additional power cost and filled my freezers with things that would keep. Paper goods and cleaning products as well. Knew he would do this. GOP will let him go unfettered!
I did the same thing. I have enough dry goods to last me for at least the next few years and enough meat in the freezer to last about six months.
Great mind think alike my dear Jana! 🙏💕🦋
Fortunately, the more full the freezer, the less it costs to keep things frozen due to the mass of frozen stuff.
Uh, yeah, and he said that Mexico will pay for the wall!
