I kept the same items in two carts on WF and Fresh without purchasing for a long time, just out of curiosity and saved screenshots over the last few years. It would go from $104 to $147 overnight, even with few items out of stock, then down to $128 or so but never down to the initial total.
Trump fuct children
I spent $450 at Sam's yesterday on just basic everyday stuff. Laundry detergent, butter, lettuce, etc. No meat, nothing gourmet or fancy just basic household needs. This is not sustainable.
Time to rise up
After the pandemic, retailers realized they could make huge price increases, and we would still shop with them. That will only get worse.
Is that why we are giving billionaires a tax cut? That will help grocery prices!
😳😳😳🫢🫢🫢🫢That’s outrageous!!!!! Mine has gone way up, too, while grocery stores take in record profits! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
This is excellent work. The kinda stuff that used to be on the news.
That means average annual inflation of 18.7% across the 5 years.
I haven't noticed that degree of increases. But whenever its said that inflation is above, say 2%, everything I buy goes up 10% to 25%! At a time!! I don't seem to have to wait 5 years!
Trump’s thoughts on your statement: “Whether you’re a loyal MAGA voter or a millionaire, my tariffs are bringing billions of dollars into the treasury and businesses will build factories with thousands of good paying manufacturing jobs; Walmart wasn’t going to add their tariffs to your prices.”
I've decided to quit eating all together
Agreed 👍
OMG.
We don’t eat fancy, but we haven’t worried about the price of food until recently. I’ve cut way back on beef and fish.
Grabbed a coffee at new QT near house for $2.28. I was pretty pleased about that. Yesterday, I went in again -- $3.65 Nicely (not cashier's fault), I balked & she said 'And its only gonna get worse, Trump screwed up coffee bean deal with Brazil for political favor." We all see it. #TrumpIsATraitor
👀
What would be interesting is how much it increased from last year to this year- that is the answer
That’s crappy!!! I read somewhere a pound of beef costs more than the fed min wage. It’s been going up since Covid. Much worse now of course.
It was $5.99 a pound at Sam's yesterday for 88/19 and that is the cheapest I have seen it anywhere in a long time. Most of the local stores in my area it's running $7 to $8 a pound for ground beef.
The rich in response:
👍😡🤬
But gas is $ 1.98/gallon!
Not only in some cases has the price skyrocketed, the quantity of product has also decreased.
WOW. I know I feel prices go up every week I go buy groceries. 50cents here, $1.00 there just slow and steady. Soon we will all be eating rice and beans.
And even that is up
But gas is $1.99 according to dip shit Trump who never pumped a gallon of gas in his life
She’s not
And that’s one reason I drive 200 miles to the nearest Costco.
Elephant ear garlic..$4.25 each at Walmart. What a rip.
8647.
Once the middle class starts starving with the homeless and near homeless, maybe we will feel up to some revolution
Now see if you owned stock in Walmart and the drink maker you'd almost break even...too bad you aren't in Congress and able to get insider stock information!
