So sweet!
So sweet!
Our Joe Pye is covered with beautiful bees and butterflies.
This looks just like my woods garden, tons of Tigers, but no Monarchs have visited. Haven't seen one all season, SW NC.
BUTTERFLIES!!! ❤️
A lot of people in my neighborhood grow (and share) milkweed during monarch season…we’ve had an unbelievable amount of monarchs this year and several other types, as well as increasing # of honeybees. Yay!
We have too in Pittsburgh!
Gardeners, nature posters … you gotta have your zone/location somewhere in your bio, the post or the alt, please. This happens all the time. Example, I’m interested in this post because my JP weed went off early in my Chicago suburban (6A) garden and I am trying to figure out why. Please, folks
Zone 7 Maryland🙂
thank you! Is this your typical bloom time? It would be here but mine went a month ago!
Pretty close to it. Last year I think we had full bloom the first week of August. It was also a lot hotter and dryer here last year. We had a decent spring this year unlike sometimes it goes winter straight to summer!
I never heard of a Joe Pye weed but now I want to grow some.
I just learned about it this summer too!!
Excellent’ I’m trying to stick to native plants.
