Belarusians are already drawing a range and flight time map for the "Oreshnik" that Lukashenko requested from Putin. t.me/c/1650479418...

He chose well. Brest is on the border with Poland, so very close to our HIMARS. How long does it take to raze Lukashenko's Oreshnik base to the ground?

Here's a BOTE estimate: A 20 kg projectile traveling at Mach 10 has about 118 megajoules of kinetic energy. A standard 155mm HE shell contains ~42 megajoules of energy in its explosive filler. Thus, one Orishnek missile with 36 submunitions is about the same as a hundred 155mm shells.

Shitting yourself is how Russian threats work. By you shitting yourself, and subsequentially spreading Russian dis/mis, you are fulfilling your function as a useful idiot. Suggested reading: Vatnik Soup by P Kallioniemi & M Hammeken.

dec 9, 2024, 2:15 pm • 2 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

Analysis of the types of propaganda used: 1. Fear Appeal: The statement begins with a crude and visceral description ("shitting yourself") to evoke a strong emotional response, specifically fear. This technique aims to make the audience feel anxious and threatened by the idea of Russian threats.

So glad to see you can self identify.

dec 9, 2024, 2:24 pm • 0 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

2. Name-calling: The term "useful idiot" is used to demean and insult those who might be influenced by Russian disinformation. This derogatory label is intended to discredit and alienate individuals who may sympathize with or be influenced by Russian narratives.

dec 9, 2024, 2:22 pm • 0 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

3. Bandwagon Effect: The phrase "fulfilling your function" implies that there is a widespread, accepted behavior (being influenced by Russian disinformation) and that those who do not conform are out of step with the majority. This creates a sense of inevitability and peer pressure to conform.

dec 9, 2024, 2:23 pm • 0 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

4. Guilt by Association: By linking the audience's potential fear and anxiety to Russian disinformation, the statement suggests that anyone who is influenced by Russian narratives is complicit in spreading harmful misinformation. This technique aims to make the audience feel guilty or ashamed.

dec 9, 2024, 2:23 pm • 0 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

5. Suggestion of Authority: The statement concludes with a recommended reading ("Vatnik Soup" by P. Kallioniemi & M. Hammeken), which implies that the authors are authoritative sources on the subject.

dec 9, 2024, 2:24 pm • 0 0 • view
avatar
Spaller @spaller.bsky.social

Overall, the statement uses a combination of fear, insult, peer pressure, guilt, and appeal to authority to influence the audience's beliefs and actions regarding Russian threats and disinformation.

You mean the pro-Kremlin, Lukashenka-owned TV? Because if that’s where it appeared, attributing it to “Belarusians” is a broad statement. It makes it sound like every Belarusian supports it, while in reality, only the marginalized vatnik minority AKA “jabaćki” might.
