Slovakia is the new Serbia: another russian appendix in Europe. EU needs to bring back border control even between EU members. Schengen is for economic goods, not for russian goons to have free-transit holidays. Further, Fico needs to get out. He is throwing Slovakia in with the putinist ponces.

Lots of countries offer Schengen visas to Russians, last year the top 5 were: Italy (152,254 visas) France (123,890) Spain (111,187) Greece (59,703) Hungary (23,382) Of course, none of these countries have laid out the red carpet for Putin, that was just the USA.

Slovakia was doing their bit not issuing visas until now but Italy kept inviting Russians to shop and gawk at the Uffizi. Mind you Fico is so crooked that his valet has to screw his pants on, so we know he’s Putin’s guy. But interesting how everyone is going after the little countries here.

That is very, very bad. I don't know is there any possibilities to drop Slovakia out of Schengen area. If not, I suggest that every country starts frontier control. We can not let those "tourist" walk around Europe without further control of their movements.

A large proportion of Russians living in Germany are Spätaussiedler (a completely different immigration route than Schengen visas) who entered the country before 2014, so yes, it does make a difference 🤡

German citizenship law should be amended to get rid of thew whole Spätaussiedler thing, since there is so much fraud in Russia, anyone can get a fake certificates that supposedly prove distant German ancestry.

So, I guess there's no need to get more of them. 😎 How many of Russians living abroad are really Russians? Some have lived abroad long time, some has dual citizenship. Of course nobody knows their present motives. But I think it's bigger risk to get unwanted individuals now than before the war.

Frontier/Border control is in the works, though slowly. Hebdo, Bataclan, Nice, all those attacks to name a few came from terrorist cells hidden during the mass migrations as the EU took a pity-based approach to self-claimed refugees. There's a proposal for a joint monitoring system with Europol.

Said system would not be for tracking movements between countries but it would be used to log entrance/exit movements of which southern countries like Portugal and Spain are notoriously incapable. Many illegal and legally dubious arrivals just up and "disappear" in those countries, appear elsewhere.
