I grew up in NS, people always change who they vote for (liberal , conservative or NDP) but here in Alberta , it’s always conservative. It doesn’t sound like democracy to me.

That's where we surrender our power. LPC/NDP can write us off, CPC can take us for granted. Nobody has anything to gain or to lose from how they deal with our concerns. That's how the current equalization formula was born. CPC could bring it in with no pushback, LPC saw no reward for changing it.
