Dinner and a show
lol...love you're watching BBT!! Classic and will always be hilarious! I thought deer didn't like Hostas?
Hostas a the best salad bar on the planet for deer ❤️
Oh they do, my neighbours get theirs munched on occasion
lol...goes to show what a boat person knows about gardening. It's be decades since I had a garden in Canada...lol
The deer just need to make sure people know that all the hostas belong to them.
@pandachronicle.bsky.social Look, ⬆️I am sure yo will like this post 🙂
*you
🤣🤣🤣 Was that filmed in my yard? Today there was a chipmunk checking out the tomato progress. I will wrestle that little sucker to the ground!!!! Deer come right up on my patio!
It's that awesome?? Protective chicken wire time!! I wasn't aware there were deer nearby your place. Very cool!
oh yeah. we are crawling with them. This morning I saw a doe & bambi as I drove up the hill. They are often in my yard. Definitely have wire up around small trees and other goodies. I used that deer repellent spray when garden was new but it’s expensive & foul smelling
How very cool!! 🥰
That is great! I haven't had any around here yet this year. Most people around here put tall fences around their vegetable gardens because of deer.
Deer lettuce 🥬 😉
Wow lucky you.
Come to Bedford, go up in the side streets, they are always around here, lots of wooded areas
I see them sometimes at point pleasant. But not much here...
This happens at least once per week lol
I envy you.
I don’t always take photos or video, one last week was just walking around the parking lot then went back in the woods lol
Good to know they are still around
Big Bang ?? 😆😆
🤣
WOW!!!! They have no fear!
They are used to people here, they will walk right up to you lol
That happened a few years ago. I was out for my walk on the Bedford highway and a fawn was curious about me 🥰🥰🥰
I thought they were deer resistant. Or maybe deer can’t resist them.
The deer at our cottage in the Algonquin Highlands shear my hostas to the ground as soon as the leaves grow out. Honestly, that’s why I plant them, to thank those gentle souls for letting us live in their neighbourhood.
simply lovely! I am in the foothills of the Alberta Rockies. Wildlife is the best stress relief!
My mom’s neighbor was a brutally awful bully after my dad died, and was until she died last year. 1 summer when they were on vacation, she had dozens of hostas secretly planted into their other plants in their backyard. Took 2 years for them to take over. The deer were thrilled. Best revenge ever.
❤️❤️❤️
Way cool.
I didn't know hostas are yummy
Salad bar
My parents live in small town rural and they have to go to crazy lengths to keep the deer out of their vegetable garden. In the city my gardens biggest enemies are the hares. I have to block every small opening in the fence to keep them out but the skunks still find their way in at night.
Much more impressive than the slugs that normally feast on mine 🙂
if you have Hostas, you host critters—it’s in the name 😁
On Vancouver Island we have smaller deer which can scale 7’ foot fence. Our front yard has all things deer don’t eat, lavender, plants with thistles and the back yard, surrounded with an 8’ fence, has all the things they like blossoms on crocosmia, hosta, roses, clematis.
So your backyard is a deer buffet!
Mother Natures little pruners 🤣
YES!!!!🤣🤣
Did it say "thank you"? :-)
Healthy looking deer. :)
They like carrots and apples. ☺️
Yep. The deer are like "Thanks for planting the buffet..." 🤣
Are you near the Bedford Highway? I used to have an apartment there, and the deer would come down from the woods looking for treats. 😊
Yep, I see them all the time
Beautiful area!! I miss NS. 💙
🤭🥰
