Hahaha. The way the REM train and subway breaks down here in Montreal - hanging 100s of meters over the ground isnβt something Iβd risk in Quebec. π€£π€£
Cable cars only make sense over difficult to traverse terrain, building a right of way for buses would be more effective
There are dedicated bus lanes all over Metro Vancouver.
Sigh! Don't we all have enough stuff messing up the skies? What about underground options instead, if we have to do this?
At a cost of about 1,000 times that of cable cars? Good luck with that.
Really wish we'd start looking at places like China for their transportation. Bullet trains & literal train stations in the middle of high rise apartment buildings. We're SO far behind on these kinds of things. High speed rail across Canada should become reality, on top of high speed around cities
Theyβll do anything but build bike lanes
Would it come with general anesthesia? Because me no!
Itβs a great idea! Many cities around the world have them so that residents from outer neighbourhoods are connected to the city center. For example, Medellin in Columbia has a pretty extensive cable car system. It makes for nice sightseeing for tourists as well!
