No, I didnβt know this. Thank you and bless you, Nova Scotia!!!
No, I didnβt know this. Thank you and bless you, Nova Scotia!!!
Years back, when Toronto FC was starting up and I was working makeup at BMO Stadium for CBC, there was a big bald eagle kept on the roof for seagull control. The American Sportscasters went nuts getting pics because many had never seen one before.
When I moved here I commented how odd it is that thereβs a store called Giant Tiger and the person I was talking replied it wasnβt any less odd then the fact Pennsylvania has a chain of grocery stores called Giant Eagle. Fair.
Has Trump not yet claimed credit for saving the species? That is the kind of thing he would do.
Lol
I think that the Felon doesn't go along with Uncle Sam the eagle. π€£Here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1AU...
Beautiful. And⦠well done!!
I see them often here and am always amazed
Did you know that the day after Mad King FICUS' first coronation, thousands of bald eagles fled from the US to British Columbia? You can look it up.
The % of increases is incredible.
And #Trump made lead bullets legal again and put endangers birds all over again.
Do you post anything about the Canadian rockies, photos of the deer or moose?
I usually post a lot about Atlantic Canada, but do post news articles from Provinces and Territories in Canada daily
We do have a lot of bald eagles here in Nova Scotia. Love watching them π
π― It was the first place I ever witnessed a Bald Eagle in person. #CapeBreton #NovaScotia ππ¦
If you ever get to BC, Squamish has a massive gathering of Bald Eagles btw Nov-Fed each yr. They come in a large number and collect together. Absolutely spectacular!
Thank you for the information. That sounds nice. Itβs really amazing how beautiful they are.
Big portion of their population is in Cape Breton
/2 The Bald Eagle breeds across much of Canada, reaching its highest concentrations along the west coast. It winters from southern Canada through the United States. There are approximately 110,000 individuals in Canada, representing 55% of the global population and a high degree of
/3 responsibility for Canada. At least another 10,000 individuals breeding in Alaska likely also migrate to or through Canada, boosting the total to 60%. The Breeding Bird Survey, Christmas Bird Count, and multiple Canadian observatories contributing to the Raptor Population Index all show
/4 large increases, allowing for very high confidence in this status. The national population of Bald Eagle is within its goal range. Approximately 200,000 worldwide. naturecounts.ca/nc/socb-epoc...
Weβve been conducting annual surveys each winter in eastern Kings county for years. Numbers are high here due to poultry farming, with dead birds tossed out the barn. Sheffield Mills used to have an eagle festival, but bio security has tightened up, and dead poultry is composted.
Have they ever said "thank you"?
Not sure
I was just being sarcastic. The whole Zelenskyy not saying thank you thing.π
