Bull shit. Americans are convinced that uncontrolled immigration is a problem. Most Americans don't believe ALL immigrants are a problem (or even all BROWN immigrants).
Harris trying to out right Trump on immigration was disastrous.
She didn’t acquiesce. She’s far right.
So much bullshit on so little space. Jfc
When the two presidential candidates both set a tone of taking a hard line against undocumented people and refugees at the border guess what kind of setup that gives the winner www.vox.com/policy/36917...
Oh, Kamala is still the problem for ya? Wow . Get a GRIP
I’m sorry you don’t know how to read bot
I do know how to read . It's your baseless whining that is the reason your country is back to orange fascism. Exactly that.
Donald Trump is the perpetrator but the road to anti-immigrant martial law was paved with bipartisan anti-immigrant intentions
they haven't stopped being bipartisan on this either
Every good fascist demonizes an enemy, then they extend the net wider to include intellectuals, labor leaders, radicals, professors, opposition figures and you.
Just months into Biden’s presidency www.vox.com/policy-and-p...
Makes you wonder why it wasn't all through fox news then, but resurfaces here now, while trump shreds the constitution and pretends it's necessary. But I'm sure he'll thank you for at least trying to paint Democrats out to be "just as bad." Heck, you may even get some more followers.
The media/politician collusion here is intense “In a rare White House address on the nation’s southern border crisis,” www.politico.com/news/2023/01...
It’s insidious.
Biden sent troops to the border to assist with law enforcement activities there and these are the kinds of stories Americans read throughout his four years www.cnn.com/2023/05/02/p...
The ACLU in 2014: “The Obama administration has prioritized speed over fairness in the removal system, sacrificing individualized due process in the pursuit of record removal numbers.” www.aclu.org/news/immigra...
That’s the last three Democrats to earn the party nomination to run for president and all three of them either ran on or actually engaged in anti-immigrant policies that promoted the idea that immigrants especially from LatAm and Caribbean were a danger to the United States
The very idea that we can keep criminality out, and that it is a problem otherwise foreign to this land, is a racist lie that all of our leaders push. Dems don’t just accept a rotten framework; they’ve helped to build and sustain it.
This was just yesterday! bsky.app/profile/jona...
That vote is disgusting but unfortunately, this is the way our politics is. Republicans have completely poisoned the well on this issue, driven by decades of messaging from their propaganda apparatuses. It will take years of work to undo the poisonous narrative that so many Americans believe.
Why can’t they speak out in favor of immigrants? They have a soap box. They prefer to cower in their offices and read poll results and take advice from centrists on the group chat with outright fascists rather than taking the case to their voters
The poisonous narrative is the one where your in group is perfectly pure and Good and problems only ever come from your out group.
Why are you only focusing on that last skeet when the whole rest of the thread clearly demonstrates that dems have gleefully participated in the demonisation and abrogation of rights of migrants throughout the last 3 dem presidencies?
US will have a restrictive immigration policy that includes deportation no matter who is in power. Crucial is respecting the human rights of non-citizens, including the right to due process, or else we have brutality and riots. ICE must be replaced with trained disciplined agents and enough courts.
Big change looms: Will US stick with Fortress Nationalism or will it opt for EU-style free movement across the Americas? US is so distant from that discussion, as Trump drowns it out with Nationalism, but US can't seal southern border logistically, so brutality becomes theatrical policy to deter.
🎯 They have all opted for "crack-downs" on the immigrants instead of efficiency & modernization, you know, a fair immigration policy. The problem was never the immigrants, it was always our leaders & lawmakers.
JFC!!!!
Keep that list. It will be helpful for the prosecutions in a few years
Lol I forgot to include Lady Superpredator
And no one corrected me! Anyway here is what she ran on in 2008 youtu.be/ZCrw7v6Worc?...
