If De'Aaron Fox's preference is Houston then if you're Sacramento you have to demand Amen Thompson or Jalen Green right? #NBAsky

The #Rockets are in 2nd & in the driver’s seat. SAC in a tough spot bc if they don’t trade Fox by next February, he walks for nothing, and the longer they wait the less leverage they have. If SAC wants to rebuild, HOU has juicy draft capital for sale. Not interested? No deal. Simple as that.
Btw I do realize that a sign & trade is also possible after his contract expires, but then there is minimal leverage for a return, and Fox could conceivably just forego that and sign as a free agent with a team that has the cap space. However unlikely it may seem, it’s a huge risk.
Right?! I don't know how people come up with ridiculous posts about what teams should demand.
Sac can't afford to lose him for nothing. That's true. But I don't think you can ignore one of the best PGs in the league. Especially one that has playoff experience and get always get a bucket.
Zero reason for the Rockets to accept SAC's demands in this scenario. SAC has zero leverage in this whole situation and as a result they will get way less for Fox than they want or he walks in FA.
Actually they have a lot of leverage depending on how badly Houston wants D'Aron Fox, Sacramento could trade him to San Antonio
The Rockets themselves say they aren't interested. So if Fox let it be known to Hou that he wants to end up there, they could let SAC trade him to SA, let him play there one season and then sign him in FA and give up nothing. SAC is in a similar position to Mia with Butler just to a leaser degree
Can't say you're wrong. They are 2nd in the West. They're also a team that can struggle to score. Can't just overlook getting Fox.
Rockets currently 9th in the NBA in offense. Early in the season they did struggle to score, but that hasnt been the case recently. They are like too 3 or 4 I think in scoring in Jan
They can demand whatever. Houston has zero incentive to move Amen Thompson
We can give them Landale 🤷🏽♂️
I wouldn't either. Thompson is amazing. But then Green would need to be traded.
