In the main, I agree. However, things can go awry as happened to the UK's Times. A few years ago they erroneously published excerpts from "The Hitler Diaries", which subsequently proved to be a hoax.

Considering how litigious the Felon is, I would hope that they triple-checked all of this before even thinking of printing it.

Indeed, but The Times claimed it was assured that the Hitler Diaries were authentic. Hugely embarrassing for such a prestigious newspaper to be proved wrong.
